Joy Griffin
Commercial Business Development Director
You can often find Joy around the board table of a local non-profit, as she currently serves on eight volunteer boards. Her passion for community service is a product of her 15 years of work in non-profit development. Joy joins Candler Real Estate as Business Development Director, a role that will greatly benefit from her wealth of skills and unique devotion to serving her community.
Like many of us, Joy is a lifelong resident of Gainesville, deeply familiar with its places and people. She most recently worked as Director of Marketing, PR, and Communications for the Gainesville City School System. Previously, she served as Chief Administrator for Carroll Daniel Construction, in numerous leadership roles for United Way of Hall County, and as Community Manager for the American Cancer Society in multiple North Georgia counties.
Joy and her family attend Lanier Christian Church, where she is worship leader. She was named Gainesville Jaycees’ 2021 Young Woman of the Year and is currently in the Leadership Georgia Class of 2024. Joy and her husband, Bryan Griffin, have two sons at Gainesville High School; Jacob, who is a junior, plays basketball and baseball, and Rhett, a sophomore, plays football and tennis.
Joy is a graduate of Georgia State University. Her extensive service work includes the following roles:

- Truist Center for Ethical Leadership at the University of North Georgia Mike Cottrell College of Business Advisory Board, member
