David has an extensive history in the real estate services industry. He is a licensed Associate Broker and has a rich, 20-year history as the former owner of Metro Appraisals, a long-respected real estate valuation firm.

 

David is a MAI, SRA, and AI-GRS designated member of the Appraisal Institute, and a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

 

Throughout his appraisal career, David has provided valuation and consultation services for a wide variety of commercial and residential properties and has testified as an expert witness throughout Georgia for numerous court proceedings.

 

David joined Metro Appraisals in 2005 after graduating from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in consumer economics and owned the company from 2013 to 2025 when he sold the business to devote his full attention to Candler Real Estate as its President.

 

He is a member of the board of directors of the Atlanta Chapter of Appraisal Institute. In addition to his real estate career, David, a Hawkinsville, Georgia native, owns Meat Head Charcoal.

 

The company is based in Gainesville, where he resides with his wife, Maggie, and sons, Henry, Samuel, and John Reese. David and Maggie are graduates of the 2019 class of Leadership Georgia, and he was a graduate of the 2013-2014 class of Leadership Hall County. David enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, grilling, and exploring the mountains of North Georgia and North Carolina.
